Introduction

In our technical driven world, we forget 🤫, that we as humans have some competences that might be better used if we release us from the digital world.

“If you give people tools, they will blame what happens to them ON the tool, they will credit what happens to them TO the tool.”

Mind mapping is a technique, that helps you bring forward a lot of insights and can be executed just by the means of pencil and paper 🧐

Welcome to a short update related to a presentation I held in July 2023 at a Biggerplate.com online event.

The update is related to the section: Technique & Tools.

The intention with this 2 minute 30 seconds video is to provide you with comments on the tools, I have practical experience with (and have the role as an Affiliate).

In general I always recommend to use pen and paper as mind mapping is a technique for capturing your thoughts giving you the capability for linking it together. 💡

Using an online tool as MindMeister or MindMap AI gives you the capability for sharing your mind map easily with others. 💡

The downside is though, that you are dependent on a stable internet connection between you and the chosen provider, which nowadays can be a challenge… 🤔

Service info 💡 💡 💡

I recommend you to read the DPA provided by your preferred partner – you might find some valuable information for your risk analysis…

As the new kid on the block, I have been testing MindMap AI using some scenarios relevant within Cybersecurity and Information Technology in general.

Why not this excitement using online tools like MindMap AI? 🤔

Well in short – AI has been existing since late ’90-ies under various labels – nowadays we just got a much better hardware to process the data.

Like in all the stages of developing products for data processing and data mining, it always ends up by the mere fact: you need to know the basic principles and to execute verifications before you put your trust in to a tool, that you have no control over.

Personally I still find the pen and paper most valuable for the process.

The MindMap AI product are useful (keeping in mind what it is) and will therefore continue share some experiences from a pragmatic use.

In my opinion MindMeister continues to be the best operational version for sharing mind maps in the dialogue and planning process.

MindManager is the Rolls Royce – unfortunately you might not benefit from all the features in this product.

Mind mapping is a strong technique.
